My daughter, boyfriend and I had dinner at Benihana in Arcadia California. I had left a complaint to the restaurant in Arcadia. The manager called me named Linda. I had complained about the poor service and also the chief’s bad service in preparing our meals. Server took a while to get our drinks and provide serving plates for us. Also took her 20 minutes or more to provide the stem rice. She would disappear for more than 10 minutes before she
checked if we needed refills.
The chief cooked the chicken but not well. It was tough to eat. Her had cooked some steaks but burned
them, threw them away and had to get two more.
He gave my daughter her meat raw when she wanted it cook well,.
He put it on her plate but had to recook it. The vegies were few. My daughter had ordered the Emperor Delight but received few pieces of chicken. When I informed Linda she said she couldn’t believe that Joel? did that. She never received any complaints bout him. He has been working there for six months. She said she wished she got more positive feedback than complaints. She made me feel as if I was lying because no one had complain before about this chief. Also by her telling me she wanted more positive feedback was wrong. She should have concentrated on listening to what I had to say. I felt she was scolding me because of the negative review. I have been a manager in my previous employment and have never told anyone that my staff had never received a complaint and couldn’t believe he didn’t do well. I hope you speak to her about her response to the customers when they write or call regarding their concerns.
Also when I told her there were not enough serving plates for the sauce and plates . She said they didn’t have any and would borrow from other tables. That is probably why we didn’t have enough plates or sauce plates at our table.
